Under Grate Clinker Sampler PT103



EQUIPMENT DESIGNED TO COLLECT A PREDEFINED QUANTITY OF CLINKER FROM UNDERNEATH THE GRATES OF A GRATE COOLER

Several particle size ranges available (Standard : 2-12 mm)



Principle :
 
This PT103 sampler, to be positioned under the grates in the 3rd or 4th chamber and perpendicularly to the cooler axis, is composed of a spiral conveyor located in a cylindrical body equipped at its sampling end with a hopper covered by a sampling grid (holes of 12 mm as a standard).

The bottom section of the cylindrical body is drilled (holes of 2 mm as a standard) in order to enable the elimination of the undesired portion of the sample (particle size < 2 mm as a standard) which then falls towards the cooler.

Reverse conic shaped holes are drilled in several fixed grates in the middle of the cooler. The motion of the mobile grates on top of the fixed ones keeps the holes open and thus makes sure no clogging can happen.

During sampling cycle, as the sampler rotates, material passing through the drilled grates of the cooler is centred by a spout mounted on the frame and falls onto the inlet grid of the sampler. It is then propelled by the inner spiral conveyor until it falls into a collecting spout. Excess material is directly recycled towards the cooler (drag chain or pan conveyor).

The spout is emptied through a pneumatic double gate system which is composed of two phase-angle controlled slide gate valves, that ensure leak tightness with the inside of the cooler chamber.

  • Maximum length of the cylindrical body : 1 500 mm
  • Rotation speed : from 5,6 rpm
  • Maximum particle size: up to 20 mm
  • Eliminated portion of the sample : < 2mm (standard) and up to < 5 mm
  • Sample volume: depends on maximum particle size (standard 300 cm3)
  • Maximum sample temperature: 500 °C
  • Power supply : any from 380 to 600 V; 50-60 Hz (0,37 kW)
  • Compressed air supply: 6 bars, clean & dry
